Toll geworden ist das neue Album At The End Of Times der österreichisch Death-Thrasher Darkfall aus meiner Heimatstadt Graz. Ich hoffe die Truppe aus der Steiermark kommt damit nicht zu ihrem Zeitenende, denn die Scheibe sehe ich als bisherigen Höhepunkt ihres Schaffens.
Sie haben zehn brettharte Thrasher mit ordentlicher Death-Kante (vor allem bei den Growl-Vocals) eingetütet, die wie schon bisher Härte, Groove und ’ne amtliche Portion Technik verbinden; aber ich habe das Gefühl, alles ist noch eine Nuance besser als bisher. Die Band wirkt enorm tight, druckvoll, technisch am Instrument höchst versiert, und komponiert dennoch ins Ohr gehende Songs. Die Produktion mit Mix von Andy Classen unterstreicht die Wucht. Hörtipp!
